I have never hooped before. Can I still come to a class or to the workshop?
Of course! Most of the people that I have taught have never hooped before or they haven't hooped since they were children. The hoops that I use are larger; therefore they rotate more slowly. This makes it easier to keep the hoop spinning, which ensures success for almost everyone. Even those who have been hesitant about being able to hoop have left smiling and happy that they were able to keep the hoop spinning.
What if I don't have a hoop?
If you don't have a hoop, no problem. I bring adult hoops with me that I will share for the class.
What if I already have my own hoop?
If you have already have a hoop, please bring it with you. Sometimes it is easier to use the same hoop for practice as you do in class. You can always try out the hoops that I bring, too.
What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable clothes that aren't constricting and that won't get caught in the hoop. Sometimes it can be difficult to hoop in clothes that are very loose fitting or bulky. Natural fibers (such as cotton) are better because they are less slippery; therefore the hoop will be less likely to slip. Sneakers or comfortable shoes that are easy to move around in. T-shirts, yoga pants, shorts are some suggestions. Belts and other accessories can sometimes get in the way of the hoop and are not recommended. The most important thing is that you wear something that you can move freely in and that you feel comfortable wearing.
What if there is bad weather and class needs to be canceled?
If class needs to be canceled due to bad weather or some other emergency, I will try to call or email everyone as soon as possible. I will also post the cancelation on the Facebook page. You can access the page by clicking here. If you don't have access to Facebook or are unable to check the internet, please feel free to give me a call or text me.
If you have any questions that I have not answered here, please feel free to contact me.
